Those responsible for the July KZN unrests must be held accountable, Steenhuisen tells Ramaphosa.

"What concerns me more than the progress of the Presidential Task Team on Military Veterans is the fact that this issue has a Presidential Task Team while the July insurrection and looting does not. This points to your government’s priorities.

When the hostages are your comrades, only the finest task team will do. But when millions of citizens in KZN are held hostage in their communities by the actions of your party’s warring factions, they have to be satisfied with a sham hearing by the SA Human Rights Commission.

That KZN hostage situation is ongoing as thousands have lost their jobs in the wake of the riots and future investment in the province has been scared off.
