We started going to our church 19 years ago this year and also started singing in the choir. Bro Grady Staton was our choir director at the time. He came to me and asked me to sing this song with the choir. (I somehow didn't even realize that altos could even SING solos in the choir. 😂) I looked at him and said, "I'm an Alto!??" He said, "Okayyyy... so???" I just looked at him and said, "Well, if YOU think I can I'll be glad to try!" He and I laughed about that day many times over the years. I've always appreciated him believing in me way back when. It may seem small to you, but it was a really big thing to me! I sure will miss him! ❤
