Calls for the Western Cape to become an independent state

There are calls for the Western Cape province to become an independent state from South Africa. A formal request by the Cape Independence Advocacy Group is asking President Cyril Ramaphosa to consider a referendum on whether the province can break away from the rest of South Africa.
